Municipal fees- these fees are calculated and set by the building department.

Electrical inspection fee - Electrical inspectors are outside agencies which are authorized by the building department to conduct inspections. The fee for this service is generally minimal. In some cases you will need to hire a Licensed Electrician to sign off on it.

Plumbing inspection fee- Most Towns and Villages employ a plumbing inspector. In addition to the plumbing inspector you may need to hire a Licensed plumber to sign off on the plumbing work.

Repairs- When filing permits it is best to budget something for repairs. All these inspectors will always find something. It is usually small like fixing a railing or installing smoke detectors. If they don't find something, they didn't do their job.
